Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra and Tra-La-La Band - 13 Blues for Thirteen Moons

13 Blues for Thirteen Moons is the fifth full length album by Montreal post-rock group Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra and Tra-La-La Band.

The album consists of four long tracks, each length not fewer than 13 minutes. The album is due to release on March 25. Unfortunately, some fuckups leaked it online a couple of weeks back.

Robert Pollard - Superman Was A Rocker

Superman Was A Rocker is the latest addition to ex-Guided By Voices frontman Robert Pollard's discography throughout his entire music career.

Be ready to rewind back to the golden GBV days. That's what you'll get from this new album of Pollard's. From it's recording methods and some unused instrumentals he wrote or co-wrote back then.

Other former GBV members contributed to this album too - Tobin Sprout, Mitch Mitchell, Kevin Fennell, Doug Gillard and Nate Farley.

February 12 is the release date. If you're into some lo-fi rock materials, this is one album you gotta get.

XLarge x The Hundreds x G-Shock DW-6900

It just kept coming, ain't it? Haha! Anyway! Here we have for you is the team cooperation between XLarge, The Hundreds and Casio, working on a G-Shock DW-6900 model. The watch features both label's branding on its strap and backlight.

Comes in black with with a little yellow touch on some parts, also featuring the signature grass camo by The Hundreds on the strap and the box.

KIKS TYO x Casio G-Shock 25th Anniversary Limited Edition

KIKS TYO got together with Casio once again to produce a limited edition G-Shock G-5500, inspired by the colorways of Air Max 95.

This collaboration watch is a part of the 25th anniversary model and only 200 pieces are made available outside of Japan.

Lightspeed Champion is the new moniker by ex-Test Icicles Devonte Hynes. His new album Falling Off The Lavender Bridge was released on January 21 under Domino Records.

A totally different musical genre concept from his previous band, this new project of Hynes contains musical elements from varieties of genre.

Attic Lights - Never Get Sick Of The Sea

Never Get Sick Of The Sea is the latest single release by Scottish alternative rock outfit Attic Lights.

Critically compared to Teenage Fanclub, the Attic Lights made a name for themselves after numerous independent releases and live performances, leading them a five-album contract deal with Island Records. Their first album is scheduled to release on June 2008.

At the meantime, their new single will be officially available on February 5. Check out the promo video for the song Never Get Sick Of The Sea. Enjoy!

Reed KD - The Ashes Bloom

Reed KD is an indie-pop-folk-bluegrass act from Northern California. He's often characterized by his blend of vocal harmonies, fluid multi-instrumentation, unique arrangements and his ability in writing hooks.

His influences led his style to sound like some of those of Paul Simon, Tom Petty, Jimi Hendriz and Bob Dylan, anchored by a foundation of appreciation for the pop melody and how it can be improvised.

The Ashes Bloom is his first release and it will be available on February 12 onwards, wholly distributed by Dirty Laundry Records.

Explosions In The Sky Live In Malaysia at Ruums!!!

Listen carefully and you better listen real darn nicely. Explosions In The Sky will be coming down to Kuala Lumpur for a one night only gig at Ruums.

The Texas post-rockers will be here on February 19 and the gig starts at 9pm. Tickets will be available on February 1 onwards at RM110. Door sale is RM130 excluding RM2 processing fees.

New Balance released a new interesting pack, the A09 Hemp. Comes with a seamless hemp upper in three different colorways. HorrorPops - Kiss Kiss Kill Kill

Honestly, psychobilly is so NOT my type of genre, but when I discovered HorrorPops, it might be an exception for this round. The music so dark, horribly wicked, insanely terrifying, that the rhythms can convince you to be a full-time hater and abuser. But the Danish sounds terrific!

Releasing their third album this February, Kiss Kiss Kill Kill.

Heading for the Disco is the band's first single of this album.

Secondhand Serenade - A Twist In My Story

Secondhand Serenade is the moniker of John Vesely, an acoustic rock artist from California. Nearly a year after the release of his debut album Awake, he is announcing his follow-up album A Twist In My Story scheduled to release on February 19.

The album was produced by two renowned producers, Danny Lohner (Nine Inch Nails) and Butch Walker (All American Rejects).

“I kept a lot of those same things from the first album because the way I write didn’t change. It just became more complex. Some changes were necessary this time around because of the developments I’ve had as a person and as a performer. I just wanted to be creative and make the songs I wanted to make. I only used what I thought each song needed and that meant adding some new layers to the cake,” commented Vesely.

A Twist In My Story is a new chapter for Secondhand Serenade, taking you through the highs and lows of love and life. John Vesely is a modern day storyteller following a path all to his own while putting a new twist on his timeless tale.

Nada Surf - Lucky

American alternative rock band Nada Surf will be releasing their new fifth studio album, Lucky. It is set to release on February 5.

The record is filled with songs of restlessness, longing and elusiveness of love. Yet, in its inimitable way, the band beautifully counterbalances its signature lyrical wistfulness with its singular musical buoyancy. Intimate tunes become we're-all-in-this-together anthems, thanks to the chiming guitars, propulsive beats and the ever present yearning in Caws voice.

H&M x DAA Fashion Against AIDS project

Swedish clothing company Hennes & Mauritz, better known as H&M got together with Designers Against AIDS (DAA) on an AIDS awareness project called Fashion Against AIDS. The project consists of various apparels from top to bottom and will be available in all 650 H&M outlets in 27 countries.

Few of the contributing artists/musicians/designers/celebrities include Timbaland, Rihanna, Scissor Sisters, Katharine Hamnett, Rufus Wainwright, Good Charlotte, Ziggy Marley, Chicks on Speed, Justice, Jade Jagger, Henrik Vibskov, The Cardigans and My Chemical Romance, who all participated to this campaign without any charges. The album has seen climbing up the iTunes album charts eventhough it's not even released yet.

The Little Ones - Ordinary Song

California-based indie pop band The Little Ones yesterday announced their latest UK single, Ordinary Song.

The single comes in three formats. The CD-format is bundled with a b-side track, Boracay. The first 7-inch is bundled with another b-side, O-A (There's A Sun). The second 7-inch comes with two remix versions of Ordinary Song, one by X-Press 2's Rave n' Bleep Dub, and the other by Electrelane.

Their full debut album entitled Morning Tide is schedule for international release on April 2008.

It's always orgasm to watch Explosions In The Sky play live. Well, technically, I don't mean LIVE as in LIVE, but urm, the opportunity to catch the Texas boys on video is already the greatest pleasure there is.

One of the greatest post-rockers I ever heard of. If you got any that you think can beat them, please do not hesitate to compete.

José González Live at Razzmatazz 2, Barcelona

Here's José González, one of my all-time favorite musician, playing live at Razzmatazz 2, Barcelona. González performed Hints, Heart Beats and How Low. Check out his mad skills on his classical guitar. Just so you know, it's pretty challenging to sing while plucking the strings at the same time.

Aidan John Moffat - I Can Hear Your Heart

Aidan John Moffat has been writing and recording music since 1996, mainly as one half of the now disbanded duo, Arab Strap. I Can Hear Your Heart is his first album of poetry and prose after splitting with Malcolm Middleton and his bandmates.

On this album, Aidan has performed and recorded some exclusive videos from his poetry album. The songs are Beak, Fuck It, Hopelessly Devoted and Super Sexxy Real Live!.

Ida - Lovers Prayers

New York's folk rock group Ida will be releasing their new album, Lovers Prayers on January 29 under Polyvinyl Records.

Their music is gentle, melodic and often sparse with sensitive male-female duo harmonies provided by couple Elizabeth Mitchell and Daniel Littleton.

Both have worked on an album as Nanang Tatang, as well as appeared as solo artists.

Vampire Weekend

Vampire Weekend is an indie rock band from New York. The quartet is releasing their self-titled debut album on January 29 under XL Recordings. Their music is known for experimenting with African drum beats and Western classical tunes.

"Equal parts shruggy New York indie strumming and groovy Afro-pop, Vampire Weekend's organ-and-drum runs highlight narratives about relationships, punctuation, and sometimes both" - Spin

Their first single Mansard Roof was released last October. Their new single A-Punk will be announced soon.

Puma brought back their classic First Round, first released in 1987, with a tremendous collaboration with Japanese label American Rag Cie. The shoe is available in two colorways; silver/white and white/silver. One of the hottest white/silver shoes of the year.

AirMail for MacBook Air

I'm sure some of you Mac followers are aware that Apple will be releasing their new MacBook known as the MacBook Air, a super slick laptop with superb performance. MacBook is one of the most wanted machine that every single person who matters about being cool should own one of these. MacBook Air is known to be the thinnest laptop ever made in history.

To suit this soon-to-be-released super gadget, a case has been introduced by two Apple geeks, Jona Becktolt and Claire L. Evans, known as AirMail. AirMail looks like a manila folder with red holder, just like the ones we use for storing documents and paperworks. AirMail is made for preventing scratches and smudges, and protecting light knocks. This sleeve case is handmade out of durable upholstery-grade vinyl, and lined with fuzzy, soft fleece.

The sleeves are available for pre-order now for $29.95 and shipping begins two weeks from 15 January, or maybe when MacBook Air becomes readily available.
